The Last Twist [Canon Update addition]
Continued from here.
Trouble in the air
Rise moves back to Inaba for the time being, even if she occasionally travels to the big city to do photoshoots. Yosuke and the dungeon crew continue on to find more tarot cards as they proceed. Meanwhile, Yosuke also focuses on his social links, making his ability to make. All of the previous crew regain their Persona (Chie -> Yukiko -> Rise -> Kanji). Teddie becomes a fighter, Rise is once again the support and Marie joins her to give her a boost in abilities. Everything seems to be proceeding very well.
That's when Yosuke's silhouette appears in the Midnight Television. Baffled, the investigation team members gather around Yosuke to ask what that is all about. It's then when Yosuke explains his social link between him and Adachi and how it has made him unsure of his true motives. He receives a good talking to, crying to and a punch (from Chie). The gang is able to talk to him enough so that he finds newborn determination to face Adachi again. When he does, he forcibly breaks the social link between them. This pleases Margaret and Igor, giving him more power to fuse and use Persona.
It's the final countdown
After the group is finally reunited, the last tarot cards are found and placed on the table of shadow Junes. The image of Sho Minazuki appears and he tells them that he has Souji and that he has great plans for him and the world. The biggest dungeon so far opens up and it's built inside Junes itself.
While they make progress in the new and final dungeon, Yosuke manages to clear off several social links (not including Sun, Moon, Hierophant, Hermit, Death, Temperance or Judgment). After Naoto's Persona evolves everyone elses follows not long after, giving them just the power they need to tackle the Shadow Junes. That's not all, however. Margaret's social link also finishes and a new power surges within Yosuke once again. Igor says that Yosuke might be the strongest Wild Card he has ever seen. What that means, he doesn't answer.
Finally, the group is ready and gets geared up to tackle the final boss.
The end
At the final floor of the dungeon, the group is forcibly split up. Yosuke remains on his own and finds his way to Minazuki and Souji first. There's a giant Shadow that's gathering other shadows located behind him outside of the roof they're in. Minazuki's power is unbelievably strong and once the others finally get there, they see Yosuke being held by his throat by him.
Apparently Minazuki needed Souji's wild card ability to power up the Shadow he's creating so he can destroy the world and build his own. However, Souji had locked up his Persona to keep them from being used. 'In the end if I can't get Souji, I need to settle for the spare' is what Minazuki then declares, making Yosuke regain his determination and punch him with all his might. This is enough to get Minazuki out of his trance as he had been controlled by his own shadow.
The Shadow keeps growing on and no attacks seem to affect it. At this rate, it would become too much for the world.
That's when Yosuke remembers the words Igor said. 'You might have power that no other wild card has possessed. It's interesting to see what you will do with this power'.
Yosuke smiles and starts walking towards the edge of the roof. 'If it's power it wants, I guess I'll give him just that'. Then he looks behind him and grins before flying towards the shadow with the help of Takehaya Susano-O, despite his party members yelling him to stop.
There's a bright blue light surrounding Yosuke and his Persona as every bit of his Persona powers is being poured into Takehaya Susano-O, multiple cards breaking as they fuse in with the Persona. Then with one attack, the shadow is no more. Takehaya Susano-O brings Yosuke back to the roof before disappearing, the final card of 'Fool' breaking in the distance.
The world has been once again saved, but Yosuke Hanamura could no longer wield a single Persona.
Back in regular Junes, a month later, the group has gotten together. Everyone has rested up and Souji's staying in Inaba for the time being to recover on doctors' orders. Despite losing his powers, Yosuke seems as cheerful as ever, chatting about the future and making plans for some trips during the time Souji's here.
On one night the television in Yosuke's room flashes on when Yosuke is sleeping, a single card appearing on the screen. Then it's gone.
Right now...
It's Valentine's Day. Yosuke was just about to receive chocolate from Naoto...
